The R4 super compact units simplify circuitry and reduce costs but deliver excellent performance. The package is just 3.1mm thick and saves 50% footprint reduction for more PCB real estate.
The new R4 family of surface mount non isolated DC-DC converters offer good thermal performance from -40 to 105°C in an AEC-Q100 rugged compact package. Specifically the K78_MT-500R4 and K78_MT-100R4 series offer 24V and 12V nominal wide inputs delivering; ±3.3V, ±5V, ±6.5V, ±9V, ±12V, ±15V outputs up to 500mA and 1000mA respectively. The units are single outputs but the designer can choose either the positive or negative output. They both pass conducted and radiated level B with (additional components) and ±6KV ESD contact immunity.
