Fidus Power Introduces YMC Series Compact AC-DC Converters for High-Performance Applications
Fidus Power is proud to announce the launch of the YMC series, a new line of compact encapsulated AC-DC converters that serve as direct replacements for popular brands. These high-performance converters deliver reliable power in a wide range of ambient temperatures from -40 to 85°C, making them an ideal choice for demanding applications.
Designed for high-volume uses, the YMC series excels in environments where cost-effectiveness, temperature resilience, and a broad AC input range are essential. These converters are perfect for applications such as car chargers, smart city devices, remote monitoring systems, and metering. They are particularly well-suited for IP-rated, sealed enclosures where heat buildup may occur, leading to higher internal temperatures, especially when exposed to direct sunlight.
Certified to both EN/UL 62368-1 standards and designed to meet EN 60335 home appliance safety regulations, the YMC series offers energy efficiencies of up to 87% and low no-load power consumption as low as 0.1W. This makes them the ideal solution for meeting the energy efficiency demands of EV chargers, as well as for powering ancillary devices like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RFID card readers, GSM modules, MCUs, screens, and control pilots for power negotiations between chargers and electric vehicles (EVs). The YMC series is also compatible with 277VAC 3-phase systems up to 480V line-to-neutral, providing power for rapid DC charger auxiliaries.
The YMC series is available in output voltages ranging from 3.3V to 24VDC, with power ratings of 5W, 10W, 15W, and 20W. Higher power models will be available soon. Each unit is equipped with built-in short-circuit, over-voltage, and overload protection, and is housed in a durable, UL94V-0 flame-retardant plastic case, ensuring compliance with stringent home appliance safety standards.
To accommodate various installation requirements, the YMC series offers three mechanical options: through-hole board mount, chassis mount (screw terminal), and DIN rail mount (screw terminal).
