LMF AC-DC range extends with the 1500W powerhouse

The LMF family of power factor corrected, enclosed industrial AC-DC converters released earlier this year is now complete with the release of highest power 1500W model. The units offer even more power possibilities with parallel capability to deliver 6KW.

Like the rest of the LMF family, they are designed to work in audio visual, industrial (requiring IEC/EN/UL 62368-1), home appliance (requiring EN60335-1) or medical applications (requiring EN/ES/IEC 60601-1). These single output units offer great upgrade compatibility from the LMF1000, providing matching mechanical mounting points despite the slightly longer frame.

With a fantastic universal input performance these units offer truly global performance offering full power even at 100VAC input. They come complete with 5V 2A standby power, DC OK, remote on/off, ORing diode for redundancy, I2C communication and remote sense to compensate for voltage drop on output power lines.

The output voltage is adjustable via an adjustment pot, complete with short circuit protection, over voltage protection and over temperature protection with operation up to 70°C. The output is excellent for applications that demand high start-up draws since it has a 5 second constant current limit before the overcurrent trip, which is great for actuators, motors and printers.

These cost affective, 19.18W/In3 power dense 250 x 127 x 40.5mm (9.84 x 5 x 1.594”) units deliver efficiencies up to 94% with variable speed fan cooling making them a good fit in modern designs. Despite their high power and compact size they still conform to level B conducted and radiated emissions to EN55032 without any additional components.
