High power density 300W 2x4” dual approved AC-DC PSUs, in many mechanical formats with a 360W peak
The TAF300 and MAF300 series of compact, high efficiency power supplies, can provide 300W fan cooled or 180W in convection continuously or a peak of 360W (5sec max). The peak capability of the unit lends itself to robotics (motor driving), printers, heaters or 5G communication applications. Offering a peak capability in a smaller package can save not only space but money not over specifying to the full constant power requirement.
The family comes in 3 mechanical forms to suit your installation requirements; Open frame: 2.09 x 4 x 1.26”, flange mount 2.44 x 4.6 x 1.56”, Covered: 2.44 x 4.6 x 2.32”, DIN rail 2.44 x 4.6 x 2.66”. All form factors are medically (MAF300) and ITE (TAF300) approved with the latest relevant standards for safety; EN/IEC/ES 60601-1, EN/IEC/UL 62368-1 and for EMC; EN55011, EN60601-1-2 or EN55032 respectively. The MAF300 medical units are all suitable for Body Floating (BF) applied medical part designs offering 2x MOPP from the mains and 1500VAC isolation from output to ground with low earth leakage. The TAF300 and the MAF300 are suitable for overvoltage class III installations where equipment is directly connected to the consumer unit as opposed to being powered from a mains ring via a mains plug.
The units boast efficiencies up to 93% delivering true universal power for global flexibility with no derating at low line with forced convection. Full power operation from -40 to 60°C when blown and extended operation to 80°C. There are 8 output models from 12 to 53V with a ±10% pot adjust. All complete with over voltage, over current, over temperature and short circuit protections. Both the variants can be used in either class I (with earth) or class II (no earth, double insulated) installations, please specify when ordering.
As well as the many mechanical formats that the product can be tailored to suit your application with different fan output speed options (variable or not) and the option to cost optimise the unit should the standby power, remote on off and power good signal not be required in your application.
