The new TN series of chassis mount, AC-DC converters set a new standard in the common 2 x 4” and 3 x 5” footprints where price, profile and supply-chain security are key.
In the 2 x 4” footprint the series offers 60W, 130W and 250W models (TN14 & TN19), alongside another 250W unit (TN17) in the industry standard 3 x 5” package. Each provide common mounting and connectivity options to help replace higher cost or unavailable legacy options from other sources. Reliability is at the core of the series design with high efficiencies to boost not only max power without active cooling, but also impressive thermal performance. This is coupled with the series exclusive use of tier 1 premium Japanese capacitors to ensure as high reliability and service life as possible.
Combined high-performance and competitive price makes the TN series a great fit for a wide range of applications. The units are readily available and meet the latest general safety approvals EN/IEC/UL 62368-1 (2nd Ed), also meet FCC Part-15, CISPR-32, EN55032 class B emission limits and EN55035 with no additional components. Alongside global safety/EMC is universal mains input from 90-264VAC to cover all end-equipment markets, as well as availability of a wide range of output voltage versions from 12-57VDC to suit all manner of use-cases.
As part of Fidus’ drive towards leading supply chain security, the TN series is also able to be manufactured in a state-of-the-art factory in Malaysia, to aid those wishing to diversify component manufacturing locations for supply chain risk mitigation.
