The new EHF range of external AC-DC power adapters offers the home appliance, smart-home and IoT markets an opportunity to expedite development and simplify design with a fully certified external AC-DC power supply. By containing AC-DC power conversion within an external power source, product designers can expedite time-to-market and reduce compliance hurdles by keeping hazardous AC external and working with safe low energy only, within their end product.
The EHF130 and EHF170 supply 130W/170W of continuous power with impressive power density, as well as a unique peak capability, offering a 3-second overload of 150W and 200W respectively. When coupled with the high capacitive loading potential, this short-term overload capability makes them ideally suited to motor applications for example: coffee grinding, food processing, ice crushers and pumps.
The units are compliant with the latest DoE energy efficiency Level VII standard, safety standards IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 and of course IEC/EN 61558-2-16 / 61558-1 for EN60335-1 home appliance regulation. They are all approved for worldwide use, having universal input 90-264VAC, UL/FCC for America and of course CE and UKCA marking.
For larger opportunities, incorporation of customer branding is possible, providing a truly professional look to your powered system. As with all Fidus Power desktop power supplies custom outputs; push pull connectors, XLRs, IP rated connectors or longer/shorter cables are possible.
