TBF500 – ultra dense, MIL-STD-810F 500W AC-DC brick
Super high-power density of 90.57W/in3 pushes the envelope of compact, low-profile power to a new limit; helping sleek and modern designs to be realised.
The conduction-cooled, 500W TBF500 series comes complete with some special features:
- OVC III - for connection directly to consumer unit
- Current share – Use multiple units for 1000/1500W applications (facilitated by just a 30A inrush current)
- Remote on/off, power good and 10% trim on sense lines.
The size of the installation is tailored by external bus cap connection to increase hold up if necessary to optimise real estate to suit application (660uF 450V minimum).
The 6 voltage variants from 12 to 54VDC offer fully universal power with no derating at 100Vac for worldwide operation. With appropriate heatsinking the unit’s baseplate can operate up to 100ºC at full power and at altitudes of 5km. The robust units conform to the MIL-STD-810F for thermal shock and vibration with an MTBF of 250khrs (MIL-HDBK-217F). Perfect for harsh industrial, transportation and defence applications.
The series offers efficiency up to 93%, fantastic power factor correction conforming to both EN61000-3-2 Class A and D and all units come complete with a suite of protections; short circuit, over current, over voltage and over temperature.
